Anat Krier
Anat Krier of Brush Prairie, WA passed away Friday, May 8, 2020 from stomach cancer. Anat was born in 1963 in Israel, where she lived until 1982 when she moved to the United States and proudly became a U.S. citizen.
She lived in Clearwater, FL where she became a business consultant and ran the sales and marketing department of a large corporation when she met her future husband George Krier in 2000.
In 2001 George hoodwinked Anat into relocating to Nome, AK, and they were married in November 2004 after she had fallen in love with Alaska, the tundra, Nome, its people, and had finally forgiven George for dragging her to a place where doing a puzzle on a cold night was considered an exciting evening.
Anat became a realtor while living in Nome, which did little to offset the fact she had earned considerably more than George when living in Clearwater, and by rights he should have moved to her.
In 2011, George and Anat moved to a farmette in Brush Prairie, WA where Anat enjoyed gardening, selling garlic and produce at a local farmers market where she became affectionately known as the garlic lady, and selling MultiPure water filtration systems.
Anat will always be remembered for her warm and engaging personality, beautiful smile, inquisitiveness, kindness, caring and amazing cooking.
Anat is survived by her husband George Krier and son, Gillay Shoshan of Brush Prairie, WA; her son, Egan Keskitalo of Las Vegas, NV; her mother, Naomi Baruch of Eilat, Israel; her father, Joseph Aved of Paramus, NJ; her sister, Galit Glazer of Roggwil, Switzerland; her sister, Michelle Garcia of Palm Harbor, FL; and her sister, Keren Lazarovich of Rosh Haain, Israel.
Zoom virtual memorial services for Anat will be held Sunday May 17, 2020 at 9:30 am PST, 12:30 pm EST, and 7:30 pm Tel Aviv (GMT +3.) Use Zoom Personal Meeting ID 951 2118 0717. Those who wish to attend, you will need to have the Zoom app downloaded to whatever device you intend to attend with; your computer, laptop, tablet or smart phone.
