Gurleen Prokop

Gurleen Prokop, age 85, a nine-year resident of Nome, passed away Monday July 31, 2023 in Portland, IN.

She was born Nov. 27,1937 in Baltimore, MD to John and Edna (McKoy) Stratemeyer.

She graduated from Kenwood High in 1955. She kept books for Legum Chevrolet in Eastpoint, MD until she retired.

Gurleen was preceded in death by two husbands.

Surviving family members include Pearl Mikulski, Portland, IN; William Congdon (Colleen), Brunswick, ME; John Henry Stratemeyer (Barbara) Baltimore, MD; William Stratemeyer, Baltimore, MD; Jennifer Neuschwander (Nathan) Springfield, MO; John Mikulski (Amy), Portland, IN; Stuart Congdon, Brunswick, ME; Troy Congdon (Casey), Millis, MA; Matt Congdon (Emily), Bath, ME; 10 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery in Essex, MD.
