Punky and Charles Punguk of Nome announce the birth of their sixth grandchild, Miakoda Julianna Barnes. Proud parents are Irvin Barnes and Jill Nederhood. She weighed 7 lbs. and 8 oz. and measured 21 inches. She was born on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017. She was given the Eskimo name Oongupchuk of the late Frances M. Johnson, her great-great grandma.
