Chad William Antill

Chad William Antill

July 27, 1990 – Feb. 7, 2025

With heavy hearts, the family of Chad William Antill announces his passing on February 7, 2025 at 34 years of age.

Chad was born on July 27, 1990, in Ames, Iowa. He was the youngest with three older sisters and one older brother. The family moved back to their home state of Idaho when Chad was still a baby, and he spent most of his life in the Boise area.

Chad’s greatest love was being a father to his three children, Ava (7), Owen (4) and Jackson (2). He loved playing and being silly with them since he was just a big kid himself. He found the most joy in playing Uno or picking out new books with Ava, wrestling with Owen and playing cars and airplanes with Jackson. Whether he was reading stories or playing Mario Kart with the kids, taking them on amusement park rides or trying to teach them how to play guitar (even if he was just learning himself), Chad spent as much time as he could with his kids.

He was also excited about starting a new life with his fiancé, Paige, and her daughter, Penelope (7). Chad and Penelope shared a love of Pokeman cards, watching movies, and listening to Blink-182 and Falling in Reverse while in the car.

Chad was most at home in Nome, Alaska, where he enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, riding ATVs, or flying. As a teenager, Chad knew he wanted to become a pilot, and he dedicated himself to making that happen. Becoming a pilot in Alaska was the fulfillment of that dream, and he provided an invaluable service to rural communities in Alaska as a pilot for Bering Air.

Chad is survived by his former wife, Katie Kruschek and their children, Ava, Owen, and Jackson Antill; fiancé Paige Giebel and her daughter, Penelope; parents Tami and Clay Cox and William and Susan Antill; his siblings, Kimberly Antill, Staci Briscoe (Adam), Ryan Mecham (Melissa), and Ashli Antill, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held in Boise, Idaho on March 9, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Nome Volunteer Fire Department.  https://www.nomealaska.org/volunteer-fire-department
