Cindy Sherman
Cindy Sherman, 78, died on July 20, 2025 in Spokane Valley Washington.
Cindy was born on September 25, 1946 in Mount Vernon, Washington to Ken and Bette Conn. She was the oldest of three sisters.
In 1976, she and her husband Bill moved their young family from Chehalis, Washington to Nome, Alaska.
After raising her two daughters and living in Nome for decades, she moved back to Washington state where she remained for the rest of her life.
Cindy’s well-known love of cooking and baking was most definitely inherited by her daughters and granddaughters. She thoroughly enjoyed socializing with friends and never missed an opportunity to have a good time. She will be missed by her family and by her friends around the card table at her assisted living home.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Lisa Keller, husband Jerry Sherman, ex-husband Bill Droke, and her parents.
She is survived by her daughter Lori Campbell, four lovely granddaughters, Janelle Keller, Erica Keller, Bailey Gagnon and Kylie Bartch, along with a crew of six beautiful great grandsons known as the “Boy Cousins” - all of Anchorage, as well as her sisters Cathy Thomson of The Netherlands, and Caren Olson and family of South Carolina.
In acknowledgement of her passing, the family suggests spending quality time with your loved ones. At her request, her ashes will be released in Nome at a later date. No services are planned.
