Robert A. Peterson
Robert A. Peterson, 75, of Nome, AK, passed March 21, 2025.
“Soup” Peterson, son of Andrew Peterson and Francis Peterson, loving husband of Diane Strickland, passed in Nome surrounded by family and so much love.
Soup was an avid visitor around town, often stopping into restaurants to have his glass of lemon iced tea.
Soup was one of nine siblings and is preceded in death by his parents Francis and Andrew, sisters Ann and Lena, and brothers Andrew, Walter, and Richard.
He is survived by his wife Diane, his daughters Elsie, Deanna and Dona, siblings Karl, Sam and Herman, and many grandchildren. He will be remembered not just for the laughs he shared, but for the warmth he brought to every life he touched.
In his later years, Soup’s devotion to his family only deepened. He was the proud father of Elsie, Deanna and Dona, and his love for his grandchildren—Avery, Kailyn, Beau, Cadence, Amaya, Kayden and Elias—was immeasurable. Soup’s love for his family knew no bounds. His influence and wisdom will live on in the hearts of his children and grandchildren for generations to come.
A service may be held at a later date, where friends and family will gather to share memories, stories, and love in the way Soup would have wanted.
Robert “Soup” Peterson may no longer walk among us, but his love will remain in our hearts forever.
Rest in peace, Soup. You were truly one of a kind.
